Pyrenees Wine Region

I have just returned from a trip to the Grampians and the Pyrenees wine regions. They make some impressive reds out there. It seems that both Tempranillo and Sangiovese are both being given extensive trials by a few of the wineries in the Pyrenees. While it is early days yet, my guess is that we can look forward to some interesting reds from these varieties in the near future.

Adelaide Hills Wine Region

This wine region overlooking the city of Adelaide has a multitude of microclimates which are now being exploited by wine producers in search of sites appropriate for alternative grape varieties. There are now at least 29 wineries in this region who are thinking outside the square.
