Verdelho, the Cinderella white wine

In his book, Varietal wines James Halliday wrote
"The success of Verdelho as a table wine in Australia is an extraordinary phenomenon without any obvious explanation"

Well, I beg to differ.

Just put your nose above a glass of the stuff and inhale. The fruit aroma is the secret. Consumers love it because it is fruity and straight forward.

Grenache and Mourvedre

These two red winegrape varieties are coming back into vogue, especially in the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale. Not before time I say. On their own or as components of GSM blends they make rustic, powerful wines. Read more about Grenache and Mourvedre on the
Vinodiversity site.
